Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside

Purpose

Provides funding for projects and activities defined as “transportation alternatives”.

Eligible Activities

On-and-off-road bicycle and pedestrian facilities, infrastructure projects for improving non-driver access to public transportation and enhanced mobility, community improvement activities, environmental mitigation, trails that serve transportation purpose, safe routes to school projects.

Municipalities , School Districts , Councils of Government , Businesses , Public Transportation Agencies , Rail/Freight Ports

Funding (Grants)

$50,000 Minimum - $1,000,000 Maximum

Pre-construction costs, such as: Design, environmental clearance, right-of-way, utilities.
